Explore Our Roles

We offer a range of culinary, education, and hands-on volunteer roles, managed via Duplie. Food rescue and delivery roles are managed using the Food Rescue US (FRU) App.


In-House Opportunities (Duplie)

  • Kitchen Support: Chop, sort, and prep meals.
    (M-Th: various shifts 8:30am - 5:30pm; Fri: 9am-2pm).

  • Teaching Assistant: Help with Cooking Improv or Give a Crock(TM) classes.

  • Dock Assistant: Help manage 1.5 million lbs of rescued food.
    (M-F: 9am-noon).

  • Urban Gardening: Plant and weed with our garden partners.
    (Seasonal; Tue/Thu: 12:30-2:30pm).


On-The-Road: Food Runners (Food Rescue US App)

Perfect for flexible schedules. Use your own vehicle to Rescue (pick up from donors) or Share (deliver to non-profit partners). Runs take ~1 hour.

  • Small Run: Sedan (1–3 crates)

  • Medium Run: SUV (4–8 crates)

  • Large Run: Van/Truck (8+ crates)

  1. Apply: Fill out the Application & Waiver via Duplie.

  2. Train: Watch our short training videos and take the quiz.

  3. Schedule: Log into Duplie and claim your first shift!

Apply On FRU

  1. Apply: Create your account. You’ll automatically be paired with La Soupe and the nearest FRU location.

  2. Schedule: Log into FRU to claim your first shift!
