Group Volunteers

Looking for a rewarding teambuilding opportunity with your friends and colleagues? We’ve got you covered. We welcome groups of various sizes to assist in our daily operations. Onsite volunteers receive an introduction to La Soupe operations and our mission as well as a facility tour.

Kitchen Assistants

  • Shifts are available on Tuesday and Thursday from 1 - 3 pm.

  • Group volunteers will focus on general kitchen prep (cleaning, sorting, and chopping produce), making sandwiches, packing snack packs, or participating in meal building.

  • Shifts have a desired capacity of 10 individuals but may be able to accommodate additional persons upon request.

Chef Assistants

  • Shifts are available Monday from 9 am - noon.

  • Volunteers will assist in the intake and organization of our weekly deliveries, working side-by-side with our chefs to help ensure production is running smoothly.

  • Shifts have a desired capacity of 5 individuals but may be able to accommodate additional persons upon request.

Urban Gardening (seasonal opportunity)

  • Shifts are available Tuesday and Thursday 12:30 - 2:30 pm.

  • Volunteers will assist in planting, weeding, watering, and potentially building basic garden structures. A portion of the harvest is shared with La Soupe for use in our kitchen.

  • Groups will meet onsite at a designated garden with our representative from Urban Farming Initiative, Ben.

  • Shifts have a desired capacity of 10 individuals but may be able to accommodate additional persons upon request.
